Last Night

I went on Parkinson last night. Well, I wasn't being interviewed, but I had the best seats in the house.
A friend of a friend managed to get us tickets for the audience and for the 'post show green room', and we felt like very important people as we walked straight past the massive queue, straight through the back door. Brilliant.
Then who comes on, but Ewan McGregor! wohoo! Best hour of my life.
We then hobknobbed in the green room, completely free bar, which was a bit of a mistake judging by this morning. spot the people who've never seen a free bar before: two glasses in hand, glugging back as much free stuff as possible. God, and the sausages were the best cocktail sausages I've ever had. certainly not Tesco value.
Alas, Ewan didn't show up. But Paul Merton popped his head in, and because I was with my friend Sue, who played Marleene in Only Fools and Horses, Parky had a reasonably long chat with us. Felt a bit scared to say that I was a trainee journalist!
All in all, a very fun night. And I can still see Ewan's lovely face. I slept very well last night, that's for sure!
